Nyu Mekishiko Kaiju
When I was 4, my father bought a Nintendo Entertainment System. This was my baptism as a weeb. My best childhood (and let's not lie, my adult) memories have been spent engaging in Japanese pop culture. The reason I grew up New Mexican is because my father was hired at Los Alamos National Laboratory, the birthplace of the atomic bomb. The contradiction has never been lost on me and is kind of a sweet sentiment. Godzilla was first created by Tamaka Tomoyuki to condemn human destruction. This piece is no different by one of its Native inhabitants.
